My Clear Obsession

Hey there, remember me? I know it’s been a while, a little too long to be honest. For those of you who follow me on Instagram will know that I’m still around (and well, in case you were wondering) and posting on there, but I seem to have neglected my beloved blog. Never fear, I am back! Consider this my first post coming back from hiatus!

What better way to come back than with a post about one of my current obsessions – clear footwear! What a time to be alive, right?!

I feel like with this trend you either love it or hate it, there is no sitting on the fence here.

So far, I have 2 pairs of shoes that I’m clearly obsessed with. Both have clear heels, but each are just that little bit different from each other.

Shoes: Style Kashmir in black chicago by Tony Bianco

Shoes: Style Komma in blush kid suede by Tony Bianco

They are not only pure perspex-ion, but you’ll be happy to know they are both really comfy too!

If clear heels just don’t make the cut for you, you can opt for styles with completely clear straps instead, making it easier to match them to any outfit while making your legs look super long! Yes please!

Feel free to let me know your thoughts on this trend, or more of what you want to see me post this year! I promise I won’t neglect this space again!

Love x

Santorini Style Diary

Santorini, the most magical place in the world! I spent four nights on this beautiful little island and it was nowhere near long enough. I spent hours just wandering the little streets and walking the picturesque pathways, feeling like I was in another world. Everything seems to just slip away and it’s just you and a view.

Every morning I would wake up to the peace and serenity of Firostefani and was the most relaxed I have ever been! To be honest, no words can begin to describe the love I have for Santorini. Definitely one of my favourite stops from my trip this year, and one I cannot wait to visit again in the (hopefully near) future!

While spending a little over four weeks in Europe, it was hard not to get inspired by the European fashion. I found some amazing pieces while visiting a few markets in Greece which became some of my most loved staples throughout my trip.

With that being said, below is my style diary from my days spent in Santorini..

Santorini – Part One

Santorini, where do I even begin..

You know you have found a true treasure of an island when the thought of leaving after a four night stay brings tears to your eyes. This could be due to being surrounded by picturesque views the whole time, or the fact that our hotel was more perfect than we could have ever imagined! Regardless, Santorini has made a little home in my heart and it’s only fair that I make an effort to revisit her again soon.
I really need to mention how amazing our accommodation was. I booked Villa Ilias via Expedia and honestly, no photos or previous reviews do it any justice. The staff are absolutely amazing, we did not come across one person who did not have a smile on their face. Mary and Giorgos are incredible and so, so welcoming! Nothing was too much for them and they made our stay just perfect!

The buffet breakfast was one of the best I’ve seen by far! A lot of it was fresh and homemade, and they also served a different traditional Greek treat every morning for all guests to try.  There was a lot of variety and we never left feeling hungry!

Located in Firostefani, it’s only a 10-15 minute walk to Fira. The entire walk includes breathtaking views of the water and the caldera, while passing some cute little taverns and hotels.

Below are photos purely from the hotel pool area, and as you can see the views are stunning!!

If I could recommend somewhere for you to stay while visiting Santorini, it is here. You are out of the hustle and bustle of the centre (Fira) and it is so peaceful both during the day and at night. You also get a lot of privacy as no other hotel is above or behind you, and the footpath that everyone walks along is away from the pool area, unlike many other hotels. Also, did I mention the view?!

I will post more photos of Santorini in general in a separate post.

Until then x

True Comfort Begins With Great Skin

Over the past two weeks, I have adopted a new skincare routine using the Elizabeth Arden Pro range. My routine involved using the Gentle Facial Cleanser both morning and night, the Perfection Facial Serum at night, and lastly the Triple Action Protector during the day as it is a tinted moisturiser.

It really has taken me a good 7-14 days to really see these products work. I did notice a great improvement within the first week, I had clearer skin and didn’t feel the need to wear as much makeup. With that said, by using these products I have eliminated my foundation during the day and only wear the tinted moisturiser with pressed powder. The tinted moisturiser also has SPF15+ which will be perfect come summer!

The Gentle Facial Cleanser leaves my skin feeling so soft and fresh, I honestly can’t imagine not using it anymore!

The Perfection Facial Serum leaves my face tingling (just a little) while it works on keeping my skin clear while I sleep. Honestly, this stuff is MAGIC!!!

Overall, SO happy with all three of these products. Definitely recommend to try if you want clearer skin, feel like your skin needs a change or you’re struggling to find something that works for you. Of course, speak to your beautician to see if they recommend this for you first.

For those who are in the Wollongong area, contact Rebecca Croak at Essential MediSpa and Beauty to find out more info. Thank you, Bec for introducing me to these three beauties!

Nine West Blogger Breakfast 18.06.15

On Thursday, I was lucky enough to be invited to preview Nine West’s SS15 range in Sydney! Held at David Jones on level 7, the venue was amazing upon entry. The picturesque views and cheeky breakfast (yes, there were macaroons present) was the perfect way to start my day. Oh, and did I mention the shoes?!

Nine West’s summer range consisted of the cutest flats, leopard accents, gold hardware, fringing, strappy goodness and of course the classic pump – just to name a few! Pretty much shoe heaven!

I’ve included some snaps from the day, along with some of my favourite pieces. I am wearing Sari in black which is available in store now. Please note: SO COMFY!

A big thank you to Ash, Kelli and Clare for having me, was such a great morning and I loved being a part of it! 😊

Knit Split Addict

It’s safe to say that if I find a knit with side splits, I need to make it mine! Not only is it a refreshing change to regular knits, it also makes layering a bit more fun while being super flattering at the same time. Yes, that means no awkward clinging or bunching on the hips or bum area, YAY! Perfect for the girls who love the loose, oversized look.

Layer with a singlet or tee underneath, or if it’s not too cold and you want to show some skin – wear a bralette and a higher rise bottom to keep the look clean.
