“A woman is only helpless while her nail polish is drying.”
Yes, I know you have witnessed it and I can guarantee that you have been this woman. You know, the one who walks around with her wrists bent in a dancer-like manner, as though that will prevent her nail polish from being smudged / scratched / bumped until it is dry. The woman who is so impatient that she reaches into her bag to pull out something important (like lip gloss or a breath mint – obviously), then realising her nails aren’t actually dry and she has created the ultimate smudge she was trying to avoid all along. Completely helpless, she resorts to asking her BFF (or if she’s completely helpless, strangers) to complete what used to be simple, but now rather tedious tasks for her. Well, now you don’t have to be this helpless woman, thanks to Sally Hansen!
They’re called Salon Effects – Real Nail Polish Strips, and I LOVE them!!! There is no drying time and they come in a lot of different colours and patterns. Use your imagination and mix patterns and colours together to create your desired look, or you can go basic and stick to the one pattern or colour on all your nails. The great thing is that your nails can always look different, and it doesn’t take long to do at all!
All packs come with instructions, nail polish strips, a nail file and a small toothpick-looking stick. The instructions are very clear and simple, so be sure to read them carefully before you get started. The strips come in different shapes and sizes to suit your nails, and the packet says that they will last about 10 days but I have found they last about three weeks!
Yesterday, I had some fun creating my new nails and mixed a few of the patterns together. I chose Hear Me Roar, Love Letter and Blue Ice. I absolutely love the end result, especially the part where no polish is left on the skin! 😛
You can view all the different patterns and colours available here.
Oh, and I am aware that there are other brands that have these nail polish strips too, but I do recommend the Sally Hansen range. 🙂
